Pricing & Financial Ratios Prove Most Popular
First, a big “thank you” to all of you who participated in our “quickie” survey about surveys. We were one shy of reaching the 200 mark in terms of respondents to the survey we conducted March 10-11, 1016.
Approximately 96% of our survey respondents indicated they had participated in at least one major industry survey in the past five years. Far more encouraging, however, was the fact that 39% (78 firms) had completed 3-4 surveys during that time frame, with an additional 36% (72 firms) indicating they had participated in five or more surveys during that period.
Rating of Surveys – We first asked survey respondents how they rated the overall value of surveys and subsequent studies that have been published by QP Consulting, Inc. and the results were overwhelmingly positive with 84% of all respondents telling us they believe the studies we’ve published have been either “Extremely Valuable” or “Very Valuable.”
Topics of Greatest Interest – The responses to this question will play a major role as QP Consulting, Inc. moves forward in the next 12-18 months as it seeks to continue serving the printing industry by providing practical surveys of value to printers in our industry. We provided five general topics or subjects of interest and asked participants to indicate which of those topics were of greatest interest and concurrently asking them would they participate in such a survey. The bar graph below details the results to that question. (Note, participants were allowed to make multiple selections.)
Specific Surveys of Interest – Our last and final question was the most specific and the most revealing in terms of suggesting where we should direct our efforts in the next few months. We asked, “Which of the following surveys would be of greatest interest to you, and in which would you most likely participate?” As you can see from the graph below, “Pricing of Digital Printing” and “Financial Ratios” with their respective ratings of 4.62 and 4.32 proved to be the top two choices. “Pricing of Bindery Services” came in a strong third.
Once again, thank you for participating. We hope to call on many of you again in the near future to elicit additional thoughts and opinions regarding some of these future surveys. Have a great 2016!
